As a marriage and family therapist I work with the family systems therapy model of family therapy which involves viewing the group as a circuit or a system and each individual in the family affects the functioning of the whole.

Therefore, everyone, regardless of age or position needs to be given, and encouraged to take, responsibility for their part in the joyful functioning of the team. Effective family counselling can restore harmonious relationships within the family system.

Learning and applying the principles of active listening across all members of the family can lead to better communication, understanding, appreciation, harmony and respect.

Exploring group dynamics, power struggles, unhealthy alliances, triangulation and withdrawal can help bring understanding and lasting change.

Family and Group Psychotherapy sessions are held in my practice rooms on the Lower North Shore in Mosman, Sydney.
